BAPP Arts Calendar September 2015 – 2016

Dates will be posted on the calendar in the main BA Professional Practice (135W99X) site.

Please note that dates or times may be subject to change if needed during the study period, but every effort will be made to reschedule the following events.

Note: we are trying out a new Adobe Connect (Breeze) space – if it turns out to be difficult to use – we will adjust the space – we will try to tape these interactive sessions to share with other students.

All campus session at Hendon – rooms TBC – if in doubt ask at the Main Reception when you arrive. The ALL Module campus sessions will run on a theme that will be useful to all the modules with thoughtful group exercises that will help you think/do.

(We might be having some online writing workshops with our new liaison Alexandra Pitt from the Learning Enhancement Team: you can also contact her for individual writing sessions. Alexandra’s email is a.pitt@mdx.ac.uk.

BEFORE THE STUDY PERIOD STARTS 

Induction Online Sessions for new students:

18^th September (Friday) at 8pm or 19^th September (Saturday) at 11 am (or 12 noon if needed) RSVP Paula’s email – with both Paula and Adesola. Paula will add people to the conversation for these sessions.

Continuing Students Orientation: 

Online Skype Orientation Sessions (for continuing students): 25^th September at 8pm or 26^th September (Saturday) at 11am. 

These session are there for you to ask questions about the study period and ease back into degree work after the break. Please RSVP in the comments on Paula’s blog, sessions will be jointly hosted PN and AA. Paula will add people to the conversation for these sessions on Skype.

Paula will be trying out the new site ONLINE with drop-in sessions at 11am, 3pm and 8pm on the 28^th  -  the first day of the study period -  if you want to connect and chat - http://breeze.mdx.ac.uk/bapparts/ 

Paul from CAPE says to upload the ADD-in feature all you "need to do is click on OK to allow it to install – this happens automatically and then it will reload the meeting room for them. That’s all there is to it!
You may need to add Flash and reboot - download address again.

BAPP Arts Submission 7^th January (Thursday).

More information about submission will be up on My Learning a month before submission date. Note this year we will have Turnitin, the university software to check for plagiarism, to help you check your work.

Module 3 Oral Presentations 21^st (Thursday) Vine VG02 (TBC) and 22^nd (Friday) Room V102 (TBC) January 2016. In December Paula will contact Module 3 students about which day their presentation is scheduled. Everyone is welcome (all Modules) to come and support the Module 3 presenters.
