Thank you for this post Paula. It's finally something positive for a change! It looks like a really promising idea, and I hope it goes ahead. I will definately look for into this youth dance company, it is something I can use in my inquiry. I'm so happy to see that cultural education is being supported, and that it can be available to all backgrounds. I think it is a good way to change the art deprived parts of society in the UK. Hopefully this can combat bigger problems such as youth crime and gang culture. Energy can be put into arts and hobbies or clubs rather than 'hanging out.'
Like Alicia says, it's nice to hear something positive for a change! Since setting up my SIG and starting this module all I've come across is negative findings with regards to arts education. It's good to know it's being fought for!
