Hi Paula, thanks for this post. It made a very interesting watch. The part I find most interesting was Alison's evident willingness to fully invest in the rehearsal techniques of each director. And this seems to vary greatly from Mike Leigh to Peter Gill. This to me is a key to being employable. Whilst it is important to invest time in finding techniques that help you build a character, it is also important to trust your director and their vision fully. This came across in the way Alison talked about her various rehearsal processes.
Yes - Wendy Nottingham, our guest artist at the Campus Session, also said that directors do not mind compliments or praise! She also said the interview with Julie Walters was very good to watch.
